New tire by Bridgestone, replacement for S02. Should
give better wear, better wet handling, more consistent performance during
wear. First impression: less tramlining in 215/40 then my original 205/40

These tires are rated up to 260 Km/h. Absolute
best performance on both wet and dry conditions. I have driven on
exit/entrace ramps at 80 and 90 KmPH with no skidding. At top speeds
of 200 to 220 KmPH the car does not drift or shake like on the Yokohama
195/50R15 that came with the car. |

Forget all these comments about preferring the car to
have soft-progressive breakaway handling. Saftey is about grip, not the
lack of it. Good tyres also don't aquaplane or tramline. They give you
more information about what's happening and without a delay found in larger
tyres. |

Fantastic traction control, like a block on the road.
But that's really what you need with a Barchetta / front-wheel drive :)
Relatively not expensive, highly recommended. |

... they are excellent. They take a while to warm up
but once they have they are brilliant, gripping and sliding predictably.
I used them on a race track and they never let go once no matter how hard
I tried. Fantastic in the wet, they never aquaplane whatever the speed. |

Supertire, superb steering reaction, nice interacting
with driver and criminaly good wet handling capabilities. Plus don't run
flat when pressure's gone |

Terrible tyres! They were on the car when I bought it,
never heard of the brand before. Although they are still very new, I will
be replacing all 4 of them within a month. Tyres aren't perfectly round
causing the car to shake. |

Comment: long life tyre, not so expensive... it was a
good choice replacing my previous Pirelli P6000 (25000 kms!). Tried
on summer meeting in the south of France and then discovered it's a good
tyre in the mountains on warm road ! The barchetta is so funny :o) |
